For the full HD experience along with a huge screen, you want the DLA-HD10K, JVC's latest video projector. It supports a 1080p projection using the Digital Direct Drive Image Light Amplifier technology. It also has a contrast ratio of 2500:1 and 600 lumens. (However, there is no HDMI input).
The more pixels on the screen, the better the picture quality; however, if you can actually see the borders of the pixels, it can lower the image quality tremendously. Not only can this monster produce pictures with high brightness and high resolution, it uses a reflective device with a high aperture ratio and high-density pixels that produces invisible pixels.
Use this along with Sony's Blu Ray technology and you're on your way to the super high definition highway.
