Eric Besner, the Vice President of NetFlix, revealed statements on Friday about the internet rental service's ideas about movie downloads, stating that Netflix is planning to assemble a set-top box that hooks directly to an internet connection and downloads movies overnight.
Besner stated further that the business model is still in produduction, and should see the light of the marketplace as early as this year.

"Users would add movies they want to watch to their rental queue online as they do now, and those movies would then be downloaded to the boxes overnight rather than shipped through the mail." |
